FEATURED PRIORITY
Supporting Brantford's Firefighters & Essential Services
Listening to the people who keep Brantford safe
I recently met with members of the Brantford Professional Fire Fighters Association to discuss the services they provide to our city.
The Case For Investment
Growing Alongside Our City
Our firefighters need proper staffing, modern equipment, training and resources to keep residents safe. As Brantford grows, our emergency services must grow with it — that means council decisions that match staffing and equipment to the size and needs of our city, not the city we used to be.
My Approach
What Our Firefighters Need
Proper Staffing
Enough firefighters on shift to respond quickly and safely as our population and call volume grow.
Modern Equipment
Apparatus, gear and tools that meet today's standards, not equipment that is past its service life.
Ongoing Training
Consistent training budgets so our firefighters stay ready for every kind of emergency they face.
Adequate Resources
Funding decisions that reflect the real demands placed on our fire service, not just last year's budget.
A Seat At The Table
My Commitment To Frontline Workers
As a Ward 1 candidate, I am committed to listening to frontline workers and supporting responsible investments in public safety. Firefighters are on the front line of some of the worst days our neighbours experience — the least we owe them is a voice in the decisions about staffing and resources that affect their work.
"Thank you to Brantford's firefighters for your courage, professionalism and service."
Nick Singh, Candidate for Brantford City Council, Ward 1
