I Am Running For City Councillor In Ward 1

I am Nick Singh, and I am running for City Councillor in Ward 1, Brantford. Since 2015, Brantford has been my home, and over the years I have built strong connections with people throughout our community.

I am running because I genuinely want to serve my neighbours and help bring positive change to Ward 1 and Brantford as a whole. My campaign is focused on the issues that matter in our everyday lives:

A People Person

Local Government Should Be About People, Community & Listening

At heart, I am a genuine people person. I believe in showing up for my neighbours, listening to their concerns and helping where I can. For me, community service is about caring for the people around us and working together to make our community a better place.

Listening First

Working in transit, I meet residents every day — hearing their stories, their concerns and their ideas for Ward 1.

Helping Families

I actively work to support local families who are in need of basic essentials.

I believe in showing up for my neighbours and being present in the community I am asking to represent.

1987

Arrived In Canada

I was born in India and came to Canada in 1987 as a permanent resident, and I completed my education here.

2000

Became A Canadian Citizen

In February 2000, I officially became a proud Canadian citizen.

2015

Made Brantford Home

Since 2015, Brantford has been my home. Over the years I have built strong connections with people throughout our community.

2020 — Today

Business Owner To Transit Operator

For more than two decades I operated my own transportation business, continuing in that work until 2020. Today I serve our community as a Brantford Transit Operator — a role that lets me meet residents from many different backgrounds and stay connected to the everyday experiences of people in our community.
